A safe place in a difficult time: that's how many of my clients view my law office in Naples, Florida. When they come to see me, my clients are usually facing a divorce or criminal charges—sometimes both.

After speaking with you for a few minutes, I’ll give you an honest, straightforward assessment of your case and your options. I've been a lawyer in south Florida a long time. I don't play games with my clients—and I don't blow smoke.

While I have a great deal of knowledge and experience, I am less formal than a lot of lawyers. I keep my sense of humor. I also remain optimistic no matter how difficult the situation may seem.

I don't like charging people for a simple inquiry about their case, so I offer a free initial consultation for both family law and criminal defense cases. Not many of my colleagues do. I also offer flat fees. In my view, billing hourly and charging retainers encourages attorneys to invent issues and drag out legal cases. The majority of my clients want to resolve their cases quickly, quietly and fairly.

My clients appreciate the fact that I listen to them and don't talk down to them. One of the main complaints my clients have about law enforcement is that they don't listen to my clients' side of the story.

I have been a trial lawyer in south Florida for more than a decade, and I have extensive experience in the criminal, juvenile, and family courts in Collier and Lee counties. I am a former prosecutor, a former public defender, and a former supervising public defender. I handle all my cases personally and will not hand your important legal matter off to a less-experienced junior associate to handle.

I handle all of my criminal cases through the lens of a fully trained prosecutor. I will work to expose weak links and missing links in the state's case. The issue with any criminal defense case is not so much what happened but what the state can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Those are often two very different things.

I offer reasonable and affordable fees as well as flexible payment plans. Credit cards are welcome. I am conveniently located at the Naples Government Center on East Tamiami Trail next to the Collier County Courthouse. I also have a satellite office in Immokalee.
